Migrate from CookieYes to CookieWise
Move from baseline consent setup to a more implementation-structured workflow with lower ongoing operational friction.
Migration sequence
- 1. Capture baseline: document current category mappings, scripts, and tag firing outcomes.
- 2. Install CookieWise in staging: load script first in
<head>, before other trackers. - 3. Replicate category logic: align analytics and marketing decisions to your existing user-facing policy.
- 4. Validate Consent Mode: verify denied defaults and update events in GTM preview.
- 5. Production cutover: remove CookieYes script, publish CookieWise, then retest accept/reject/customize flows.
