Migration checklist
- 1. Baseline capture: Record current banner behavior, category mapping, and GTM tag consent settings.
- 2. Install CookieWise: Place CookieWise script first in
<head>on a staging environment. - 3. Replicate categories: Match necessary/functional/analytics/marketing/social toggles to your current policy.
- 4. Validate Consent Mode: Confirm denied defaults and update signals in GTM preview before production deploy.
- 5. Cutover: Remove Cookiebot script, publish CookieWise, and re-test accept/reject/customize flows.
